The tactile appeal of this found Carved Wood Dough Bowl needs no description. Hand carved from a single piece of old-growth wood, the natural hewn exterior and interior have become smooth and aged with the warmth of use.

Interestingly, the evidence of the tree's gift is easy to see, we can visually delineate dozens of ring years. Naturally off kilter in form - unlike today's machine made round bowls - the bowl also has its original offset horizontal handles that would have also served as shoulder carrying loops. Notably, our treasured bowl carries a successful surgery to a long-ago crack, with a metal forged binding clip. This is a bowl that can be used today with a 100 year old sourdough starter to great joy.
