This archetypal vase’s form and distressed golden bronze glaze was intended by the artist to look like a vintage earthenware ceramic, a piece that might have been discovered in an archaeological dig. The wink to the modern eye is of course the bowling-pin like red stripes on the neck, marking it fully as from the modern day. A distinctive, witty piece that would suit a wide range of design environments including mid-century, nordic, and rustic.
